A crew member is a person you own who adds a passive bonus while they sit in an active slot. The bonus is an ability, separate from the parts on the car. The Engine Mechanic, for example, makes your cars repair 50% faster. The Fuel Expert adds Power. The description on the crew screen is the one to trust, because some amounts change with the car.
You start with one active slot. Extra slots come from Crew Slot items you own. Only crew you own can be placed. Crew you have not earned are shown locked.
How to set them
- Tap the garage door icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Open Crew.
- Tap a crew member you own. The description appears. Tap another to compare.
- Drag that person onto an open slot, or double-tap them to fill the first open slot. If every slot is full, a double-tap replaces the last unlocked slot.
- Tap the checkmark to apply the change. Until you do, the car is unchanged.
- Race. The bonus applies for every crew member sitting in a slot.
- To remove someone, clear that slot and tap the checkmark again.
