Handango, the leading provider of smartphone content, has released its 2006 Special Edition Yardstick, a year end global report on the state of the smartphone content industry. The results clearly show that Aces Texas Hold’em® from Concrete Software had a winning year. While over 11,000 new software titles were added to the Handango catalog last year, only one game, Aces Texas Hold’em – No Limit appeared as a Top 10 best seller.

The Special Edition Yardstick reports on key smartphone metrics including top selling applications from Handango’s catalog. This information is presented for each of the five major smartphone platforms: BlackBerry, Palm OS, Symbian OS, and Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone. Aces Texas Hold’em – No Limit appeared in the Top 10 lists for BlackBerry and Smartphone, and in the Top 25 lists for Palm and Pocket PC, proving its popularity with device users across platforms. Aces also appeared in the BlackBerry Top 10 list in 2005.

Handango presented a 2005 Champion Award to Aces Texas Hold’em – No Limit to recognize the application as being the Best Application for Play for the UIQ platform. Champion Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts and media.
