Crashing and freezing issues

If PGA TOUR Golf Shootout crashes, freezes, or closes unexpectedly, try the troubleshooting steps below.

Troubleshooting

1. Fully close the game and any other apps you do not need, then reopen PGA TOUR Golf Shootout. Backgrounding the game is not the same as fully closing it. On Apple, swipe up from the bottom and hold, then swipe the game off the list. On Android, tap Recent Apps and swipe up on the game to close it.
2. If your device lets you clear the game's cache without clearing data, try that. Open your device's main settings app, find PGA TOUR Golf Shootout in the app list, then look under Storage or Data Management. Do not use Clear Data unless Support has told you to and your save is backed up.
3. Check the App Store or Google Play for an update. Updates sometimes include crash fixes.
4. As a last resort, you can uninstall and reinstall the game. Only do this if you are sure your save is backed up with cloud saving, or if Support has told you to reinstall.

Back up before uninstalling. PGA TOUR Golf Shootout uses cloud saving (Email/Password, Apple/Game Center on iOS, or Google on Android). Confirm you can sign into your cloud save account before you uninstall. Email/Password is the option that works across Apple and Android.

Contact Support

If the steps above do not help, send a message from inside the game:

1. On the title screen, tap the blue line button in the upper right corner.
2. Tap the orange Support (headset) button.
3. Use the help option to send a message. Include your name, email address, and a brief description of the issue.

Helpful details include when the crashing or freezing began, how often it happens, and what part of the game you were in. If you cannot use the in-game contact button, also include your device model and operating system version.
