Lag and performance issues

PGA TOUR Golf Shootout can hitch, lag, or briefly freeze on some devices. Older phones and tablets may struggle with the game's demands. If shots feel delayed, the shot meter skips, or the game pauses while playing, try these steps.

Troubleshooting

1. Lower Graphics Quality to Fastest:
   1. On the title screen, tap the blue line button in the upper right corner.
   2. Tap the green Settings button.
   3. Set the Quality slider to Fastest. It is below Ambient and above Notifications, Vibration, and Measurement.
2. If your device has Low Power Mode or Battery Saver, turn it off. These options are usually in the Battery section of the device settings.
3. Fully close other apps you do not need while playing. On Android, use Recent Apps and swipe up on apps. On Apple, swipe up from the bottom and hold briefly, then swipe up on an app.
4. Check the App Store or Google Play for an update. Updates can include performance improvements.
5. Fully close the game, restart your device, and then reopen the game.

If the game still lags, contact Support by tapping the blue line button on the title screen, the orange Support button, and then the help option. Include your device model, operating system version, Quality setting, and when the lag happens.
